I was chasing down lean A/F and asked a well respected tuner about my leaky exhaust valve covers with regard to whether or not they could be impacting my A/F, as mine too were leaking during boost leak tests. He told me that in all his time tuning Z cars he has never seen a leaky exhaust valve cover cause an A/F issue. Although I was curious, it was never made clear to me if, theoretically, the leaks would cause me to run rich, lean, or maybe even both depending on manifold pressure/vacuum. Ultimately though, what the tuner was telling me was that it didn't matter as far as my A/F issue. So, I realize that's not a definitive, direct answer to your question, but I wouldn't be providing it if I didn't have full faith in the tuner that told this to me. Andy
